HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the
3 State of Illinois are pleased to congratulate Jerry Siegel for
4 his dedication to helping persons with developmental
5 disabilities; and
 
6     WHEREAS, Mr. Siegel has never waited to be asked to create
7 opportunities for the developmentally disable; he is a member
8 of the Board of Directors of the Little City Foundation and
9 goes the extra mile in promoting Little City and its projects;
10 and
 
11     WHEREAS, He ran the Chicago Marathon and arranged for
12 representatives of Little City to be featured prominently among
13 his supporters; he regularly volunteers his trucks from his
14 Midway Moving and Storage Company to assist Little City; and
 
15     WHEREAS, As part of the Midway Moving and Storage Chicago
16 Bulls sponsorship, Mr. Siegal arranged for a pre-game center
17 court photo opportunity for the Little City Bulls Special
18 Olympic Basketball Team; and
 
19     WHEREAS, He has introduced Little City to his business
20 colleagues, increasing support for adults and children with
21 developmental disabilities; and
 
22     WHEREAS, Mr. Siegel brings an energetic, entrepreneurial
23 spirit to his work on behalf of Little City whether those
24 activities mean introducing Little City to colleagues and
25 associates who are unaware of Little City or championing new
26 ways to raise funds for Little City; therefore, be it
 
27     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
28 NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
29 we congratulate Jerry Siegel for his outstanding service to the

1 Little City Foundation and persons with developmental
2 disabilities; and be it further
 
3     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this Resolution be
4 presented to Jerry Siegel as an expression of our esteem.
