HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the State of Illinois are pleased to congratulate the Hoffman Estates Hawks Junior PeeWee cheerleading team on winning the Division 10 Small - Intermediate category national championship; and

WHEREAS, The Hawks competed in Tucson, Arizona, at the American Youth Football and Cheerleading National Championship during the week of December 4 through 10, 2005; and

WHEREAS, In honor of their accomplishment, Hoffman Estates Mayor Bill McLeod proclaimed Friday, February 10, 2006, as Hawks Cheerleading Day in Hoffman Estates; and

WHEREAS, The team is made up of about a dozen third, fourth, and fifth grade students; they are sponsored by the Hoffman Estates Athletic Association under the direction of President Mark Mueller and Vice President for Cheerleading Renee Koziel; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the Hoffman Estates Hawks Junior PeeWee cheerleading team on being named national champions at the American Youth Cheerleading Championship; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the team as an expression of our esteem.
