HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives learned with sadness of the death of Janet
4 D'Argo of Wheeling on December 29, 2005; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Janet D'Argo was born April 15, 1930, in Chicago
6 and has been a resident of Wheeling, Illinois, since 1956; and
 
7     WHEREAS, Janet D'Argo will be remembered for her dedication
8 to her family, her church, and her community, as a founding
9 member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, a volunteer at St.
10 Joseph the Worker School, a Lady of the Knights of Columbus,
11 and a Eucharistic Minister for St. Joseph the Worker Church;
12 and
 
13     WHEREAS, She served the Village of Wheeling with
14 distinction as the elected Village Clerk from 1981 to 1985; she
15 was an officer at Hoyne Savings and Loan, a charter member of
16 the Wheeling Garden Club, and a faithful volunteer at countless
17 village events; and
 
18     WHEREAS, Janet D'Argo will be remembered as a loving
19 caretaker, committed to her faith, family, friends, and
20 community; and
 
21     WHEREAS, Janet D'Argo (nee Russell) was the faithful wife
22 of Edward Matthew D'Argo, Jr.; the loving mother of Elizabeth
23 Ann (David Scharlau) D'Argo, Patricia (James) Krenz, Linda
24 (David) Smart, Joan (David Krumlauf) D'Argo, Edward Matthew
25 D'Argo III, and Daniel (Julie) D'Argo; dear grandmother of
26 Jennifer (Ae) Phimmachack, Ann (Geoffrey) Edwards, Zachary,
27 Jacob, and Samuel Smart, James and Rachael D'Argo, John and
28 Gina Krenz, and Matthew D'Argo; and great-grandmother of Jade
29 and Kaia Phimmachack; therefore, be it

1     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
2 NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
3 we mourn the passing of Janet D'Argo and extend our sincerest
4 condolences to her family, friends, and community; and be it
5 further
 
6     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7 presented to her family as an expression of our deepest
8 sympathy.
