HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the State of Illinois are pleased to congratulate Darl L. Bollman of Steeleville on 50 years of service to community banking in Illinois; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Bollman was born on July 20, 1936; he graduated from Steeleville High School and Southern Illinois University at Carbondale with a B.S. in business, and he attended the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin; and

WHEREAS, He valiantly served our country as a member of the U.S. Army from November 1958 to November 1960 and served in Korea; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Bollman began his banking career as a Bookkeeper/Teller in January of 1956; throughout the years, he has also worked as Assistant Cashier, Cashier, Director of Bank, Vice President, Executive Vice President, President, and Chairman of the Board; and

WHEREAS, He is an Officer and President of Group Nine of the Illinois Bankers Association, is a member of the Illinois Bankers Association Board of Directors, and is a member of the Randolph County Bankers Association; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Bollman is active in the community and is a member of the Steeleville Chamber of Commerce, American Legion BBK Post 480, the Steeleville Improvement Association, the Steeleville Fourth of July Committee, St. Mark's Lutheran Church, and Steeleville Duck's Unlimited; and

WHEREAS, He is a lifelong resident of Steeleville, married to Janet S. (Smith) Bollman, who is also a lifelong resident of Steeleville, and he is the father of four, Angela, Julia, Patricia, and Jeffery; he is family-oriented, an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hunting and fishing, and is civic-minded, serving on many projects for the betterment of his community and church; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Darl L. Bollman on achieving the distinction of having 50 years of service to community banking in Illinois; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Mr. Bollman as an expression of our esteem.
