HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the
3 State of Illinois are pleased to congratulate Darl L. Bollman
4 of Steeleville on 50 years of service to community banking in
5 Illinois; and
 
6     WHEREAS, Mr. Bollman was born on July 20, 1936; he
7 graduated from Steeleville High School and Southern Illinois
8 University at Carbondale with a B.S. in business, and he
9 attended the Graduate School of Banking at the University of
10 Wisconsin; and
 
11     WHEREAS, He valiantly served our country as a member of the
12 U.S. Army from November 1958 to November 1960 and served in
13 Korea; and
 
14     WHEREAS, Mr. Bollman began his banking career as a
15 Bookkeeper/Teller in January of 1956; throughout the years, he
16 has also worked as Assistant Cashier, Cashier, Director of
17 Bank, Vice President, Executive Vice President, President, and
18 Chairman of the Board; and
 
19     WHEREAS, He is an Officer and President of Group Nine of
20 the Illinois Bankers Association, is a member of the Illinois
21 Bankers Association Board of Directors, and is a member of the
22 Randolph County Bankers Association; and
 
23     WHEREAS, Mr. Bollman is active in the community and is a
24 member of the Steeleville Chamber of Commerce, American Legion
25 BBK Post 480, the Steeleville Improvement Association, the
26 Steeleville Fourth of July Committee, St. Mark's Lutheran
27 Church, and Steeleville Duck's Unlimited; and
 
28     WHEREAS, He is a lifelong resident of Steeleville, married
29 to Janet S. (Smith) Bollman, who is also a lifelong resident of

1 Steeleville, and he is the father of four, Angela, Julia,
2 Patricia, and Jeffery; he is family-oriented, an avid
3 outdoorsman who enjoys hunting and fishing, and is
4 civic-minded, serving on many projects for the betterment of
5 his community and church; therefore, be it
 
6     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
7 NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
8 we congratulate Darl L. Bollman on achieving the distinction of
9 having 50 years of service to community banking in Illinois;
10 and be it further
 
11     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12 presented to Mr. Bollman as an expression of our esteem.
