HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the State of Illinois learned with sadness of the death in Iraq of Specialist Brian Albert Wright of Keensburg on Tuesday, December 6, 2005; and

WHEREAS, Specialist Wright was serving in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, as an engineer with the 135th Engineering Company A of the Illinois National Guard, Lawrenceville unit; he received the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart posthumously; and

WHEREAS, He was born on December 27, 1985, in Mt. Carmel to Allan L. and Shirley A. (Kinder) Wright; he was a 2004 graduate of Mt. Carmel High School, where he played football for two years and was a member of the wrestling and tennis teams and the choir; he was a member of the Keensburg Fire Department and Keensburg Christian Church; he was an employee of Buehler's Buy-Low in Mt. Carmel; and

WHEREAS, He enjoyed playing the guitar and being in the church band; he participated in the Best of Broadway production at Wabash Valley College for two years and enjoyed Revolutionary War re-enactments; and

WHEREAS, He loved sports, music, and golf, was deeply patriotic, and had a deep faith in God; he also played T-ball in Bellmont and made the Mt. Carmel All Stars twice; he was a Pittsburg Steelers fan and attended Evansville Otters baseball games as well as games in St. Louis; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Specialist Brian Albert Wright has been deeply felt by many, especially his parents, Allan and Shirley Wright; his brother, David A. and Danielle (Cobb) Wright; his sister, Rachelle L. Wright; his special friend, Marisa Mains; his grandparents, Leonard R. and Glenda L. (Wease) Wright; his aunts and uncles, Wes and Theresa (Wright) Hawthorne, Ken and Lil (Kinder), Bonnie (Kinder) Weaver, Terry and Judy (Kinder) Barker, Beverly Kinder, John and Lisa Kinder; all of Painesville, Ohio; and his many cousins; he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Carl and Dorothy Kinder, and his aunt, Sherry Lesler; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Specialist Brian A. Wright, and we extend our deepest sympathy to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That we honor the memory of Specialist Wright and his willingness to serve his country, which led to him making the ultimate sacrifice; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to his family as an expression of our sincerest condolences.
