HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the
3 State of Illinois learned with sadness of the death of Randy
4 DeHaan of Mahomet on Tuesday, June 7, 2005; and
 
5     WHEREAS, He was born on December 31, 1964, in Harvard to
6 Charlie and Julianne Wyse DeHaan; he married Jessie Mitchell on
7 August 18, 1990, in Richmond; and
 
8     WHEREAS, Mr. DeHaan graduated from the University of
9 Illinois in 1987 with a bachelor's degree in animal science; he
10 worked for Country Insurance Company in Champaign for 14 years,
11 where he was recognized several times with the "All-American"
12 top salesman award; and
 
13     WHEREAS, He was a member of Ducks Unlimited and was past
14 area chairman of the Mahomet Chapter; he was currently the
15 chairman of the East Central Illinois Chapter and had also been
16 a national delegate to the Ducks Unlimited Convention; he was a
17 member of the Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors
18 and was a past president of the Champaign Area Association of
19 Insurance and Financial Advisors; he enjoyed water fowling; and
 
20     WHEREAS, The passing of Randy DeHaan has been deeply felt
21 by many, especially his wife, Jessie; his parents, Charlie and
22 Julianne Wyse DeHaan; his daughter, Morgan DeHaan; his son,
23 Nathan DeHaan; his brother, Kevin DeHaan; and his sisters,
24 Denise Rohrer and Cindy Geest; he was preceded in death by his
25 sister; therefore, be it
 
26     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
27 NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
28 we mourn the passing of Randy DeHaan, and we extend our sincere
29 condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
30 him; and be it further

1     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
2 presented to his family as an expression of our deepest
3 sympathy.
