HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Deputy Fire Chief Leon Paul Fritz has retired from the Bradley Fire Department; and

WHEREAS, Firefighting is a public service of the highest order, and its practitioners are individuals whom Illinoisans rely upon at unexpected and often frightening moments; and

WHEREAS, Deputy Fire Chief Fritz joined the fire department as a Firefighter in January of 1971; he was promoted to the positions of Engineer, Lieutenant, Captain, Deputy Chief, Assistant Chief, and Chief; and

WHEREAS, He has been a lifelong resident of Bradley and has always had his heart in everything he does; and

WHEREAS, The community of Bradley has been extremely fortunate to have been the beneficiary of Deputy Fire Chief Fritz's firefighting expertise; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Deputy Fire Chief Leon P. Fritz on his retirement, and we thank him for his exemplary service with the Bradley Fire Department; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Deputy Fire Chief Leon P. Fritz with our best wishes for whatever his future may hold.
