| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, Our Children's Homestead is celebrating 10 years |
| 3 |
| of helping the most at risk children and families of Illinois; |
| 4 |
| and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Since 1995, the foster parents of Our Children's |
| 6 |
| Homestead have created permanent homes and families for more |
| 7 |
| than 70 children through successful adoptions; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, Since 1995, the foster parents of Our Children's |
| 9 |
| Homestead have earned a reputation for providing loving, safe, |
| 10 |
| secure, and stable homes for children with special needs; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, The foster parents of Our Children's Homestead |
| 12 |
| serve abused and neglected children from 77 communities |
| 13 |
| throughout DuPage, Cook, Kendall, Will, and Kane counties; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, It is appropriate that this body recognize the |
| 15 |
| passion and commitment of the more than 100 foster families of |
| 16 |
| Our Children's Homestead who believe that a family can make a |
| 17 |
| difference in the life of a child; and
|
| 18 |
| WHEREAS, It is also appropriate that the foster parents of |
| 19 |
| Our Children's Homestead be recognized for giving every child |
| 20 |
| the opportunity to pursue and reach their dreams while growing |
| 21 |
| up in a family; therefore, be it
|
| 22 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 23 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 24 |
| we recognize and honor the foster parents of Our Children's |
| 25 |
| Homestead for their dedication and commitment to children, and |
| 26 |
| we congratulate them on the occasion of Our Children's |
| 27 |
| Homestead tenth anniversary; and be it further
