HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, Jeffrey A. Courson has been a resident of Mahomet
3 for the last fourteen years; he was elected to the Village of
4 Mahomet Board of Trustees in 1995 and served on its Parks and
5 Recreation Committee for two years and chaired its Police/ESDA
6 Committee for two years; and
 
7     WHEREAS, Mr. Courson was elected Village President for the
8 Village of Mahomet in 1997 and re-elected Village President in
9 2001; and
 
10     WHEREAS, Mr. Courson has served as Director of Development
11 at the Illinois Fire Service Institute at the University of
12 Illinois since October of 2003; prior to that, he worked at the
13 Illinois Natural History Survey for nine years, the U.S. Army
14 Corps Of Engineers for eight years, and operated his own
15 business, WebMakers, Inc., for nine years; and
 
16     WHEREAS, Mr. Courson is a past President of the Champaign
17 County Audubon Society and an active member of the Mahomet
18 United Methodist Church; and
 
19     WHEREAS, Mr. Courson married Leanne Rodgers in 1988, and
20 they have two sons, Tyler, six, and Zachary, one; and
 
21     WHEREAS, Mr. Courson has demonstrated an impressive level
22 of devotion to his community with integrity; therefore, be it
 
23     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
24 NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
25 we congratulate Mr. Jeffrey A. Courson on his accomplishments
26 as a Village Trustee and President and on working tirelessly
27 toward the betterment of his community for more than 10 years,
28 and we wish him much health and happiness in his future
29 endeavors; and be it further

1     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
2 presented to Jeffrey A. Courson as an expression of our respect
3 for a job well done.
