HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives were deeply saddened to learn of the death of
4 Harold "Hoz" Kueper of Carlyle on March 29, 2005; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Mr. Kueper was born in Carlyle on November 6,
6 1925, the son of Frank and Helen (Hilmes) Kueper; he married
7 Ethel "Sandy" Albers on January 17, 1951, at St. Mary Church in
8 Carlyle; and
 
9     WHEREAS, He graduated from St. Mary High School and was a
10 member of St. Mary Church, Goldsmith-Terry Veterans of Foreign
11 Wars Post 3523 of Carlyle, Knights of Columbus Council 1382,
12 and the Clinton County Licensed Beverage Association; and
 
13     WHEREAS, He served in the Army during World War II and was
14 called back to active duty for the Korean Conflict; and
 
15     WHEREAS, Mr. Kueper owned the Scoreboard Tavern in Carlyle
16 for many years and served as Clinton County Treasurer for many
17 terms; and
 
18     WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents;
19 and two brothers, Raymond Kueper and Gilbert Kueper; and
 
20     WHEREAS, The passing of Harold Kueper is felt by all who
21 knew and loved him, especially his sons, Ken (Judy) Kueper and
22 Gary Kueper; his daughter, Lynn Kueper; his brother, Wilfred
23 "Willie" (Edna) Kueper; his sisters, Dorothy Buchmiller and
24 Mildred (Wilbur) Huff; his six grandchildren, David (Kim)
25 Kueper, Stacie (Randy) Eversgerd, Dan and Don Kueper, and Doug
26 and Scott Kueper; and his two great-grandchildren, Kylie
27 Eversgerd and Ty Kueper; therefore, be it
 
28     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE

1 NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
2 we mourn the passing of Harold "Hoz" Kueper and extend our
3 sincerest condolences to his family, friends, and community;
4 and be it further
 
5     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6 presented to his family as an expression of our deepest
7 sympathy.
