| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The highest award the National Council of the Boy |
| 3 |
| Scouts of America can bestow upon a Scout is that of Eagle |
| 4 |
| Scout; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, It has come to the attention of the Illinois House |
| 6 |
| of Representatives that Andrew Joseph Mitchelson has completed |
| 7 |
| the necessary requirements to obtain the rank of Eagle Scout |
| 8 |
| within the Boy Scouts of America; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, In order to qualify as an Eagle Scout, a young man |
| 10 |
| must demonstrate outstanding qualities of leadership, a |
| 11 |
| willingness to be of help to others, and possess superior |
| 12 |
| skills in camping, lifesaving, and first aid; he must show a |
| 13 |
| dedication and proven excellence in the areas of citizenship, |
| 14 |
| character development, and personal fitness; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, In earning this high rank, Andrew joins an elite |
| 16 |
| and honorable fraternity of achievers that counts among its |
| 17 |
| members an extraordinary number of this nation's great leaders |
| 18 |
| in business, government, education, and other sectors of |
| 19 |
| society; and
|
| 20 |
| WHEREAS, The achievement of the rank of Eagle Scout |
| 21 |
| reflects favorably upon the recipient, his justly proud family, |
| 22 |
| his Scoutmaster, and his fellow Scouts in Boy Scout Troop 132; |
| 23 |
| therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |

| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |

| we join his family and friends in congratulating Andrew Joseph |
| 27 |
| Mitchelson upon attaining the coveted rank of Eagle Scout and |

| commend him upon the unswerving dedication to excellence that |
