| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the |
| 3 |
| State of Illinois are pleased to congratulate Bess Eichelberger |
| 4 |
| on being the recipient of the Roger Osman Award for |
| 5 |
| Distinguished Service; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, Ms. Eichelberger has been a member of the board of |
| 7 |
| directors of the United Way of Will County since 1991; she was |
| 8 |
| a school board member for more than 25 years and plays a |
| 9 |
| decision-making role on the United Way Board; she also is a |
| 10 |
| United Way pillar, pledging more than $1,000 to the |
| 11 |
| organization each year; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, The award, given by her chapter of the United Way, |
| 13 |
| is named after dedicated union volunteer, Roger Osman, and is |
| 14 |
| awarded annually to a volunteer nominated by United Way staff; |
| 15 |
| and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, Ms. Eichelberger was announced as this year's |
| 17 |
| honoree at the United Way campaign celebration banquet on |
| 18 |
| Thursday, February 24, 2005; she will receive a plaque at the |
| 19 |
| March 22, 2005, United Way directors meeting; therefore, be it
|
| 20 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 21 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 22 |
| we congratulate Bess Eichelberger on being the recipient of the |
| 23 |
| Roger Osman Award for Distinguished Service, and we thank her |
| 24 |
| for her devotion to helping others through her work in the |
| 25 |
| United Way; and be it further
|
| 26 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 27 |
| presented to Ms. Eichelberger as an expression of our sincere |
| 28 |
| respect and esteem.
