HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the State of Illinois wish to congratulate Nathan Warstler of Georgetown on being named the News-Gazette's Boys Runner of the Year for 2006; and

WHEREAS, Nathan Warstler is a two-time all-state cross-country runner; he finished 12th at the State meet in Class A with the area's fastest 3-mile time at 12 minutes and 29 seconds; he finished 11th at State as a junior helping the Georgetown-Ridge Farm Buffaloes to a 6th place finish, tying the second-highest finish in school history; and

WHEREAS, He researches and reads about running, hates to miss practice, and is always asking what more he can do; he has refused to let illness or injury deter him from his running; he will go down as one of the top runners in school history; and

WHEREAS, Nathan Warstler is also an excellent student; he enjoys playing soccer, Frisbee, the piano, the harmonica, and video games; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Nathan Warstler on being named the News-Gazette's Boys Runner of the Year; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Nathan Warstler as a token of our congratulations.
