| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the |

| State of Illinois wish to thank Audrey H. Nixon for her service |
| 4 |
| as a Lake County Board member and for 40 years of service to |
| 5 |
| her community; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, As a Lake County Board member, she serves as chair |
| 7 |
| for the Law and Judicial Committee, is vice-chair for the |
| 8 |
| Forest Preserves Education Cultural Resources and Public |
| 9 |
| Information Committee, and sits on the Health and Human |
| 10 |
| Services Committee and the Private Industry Council; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, Her political experience includes being a school |
| 12 |
| board member, past vice-chair for the Lake County Board, chair |
| 13 |
| for the Lake County Board Financial and Administrative |
| 14 |
| Committee Enterprise Commission, a member of Lake County Board |
| 15 |
| Rules Committee, past chair for the Forest Preserves Education |
| 16 |
| Cultural Resources and Public Information Committee, and a |
| 17 |
| member of the Forest Preserves Finance and Administration |
| 18 |
| Committee; and
|
| 19 |
| WHEREAS, She has also given her time via memberships and |
| 20 |
| service with the Illinois Association of Park Districts, North |
| 21 |
| Chicago Leadership Council North District 187 Steering |
| 22 |
| Committee, NAACP Emblem Chapter 140, BET Organization, Shawall |
| 23 |
| Court #4 Daughter of Isis, and League of Women Voters; and
|
| 24 |
| WHEREAS, She graduated from the Scientific School of Beauty |
| 25 |
| Culture and took many continuing education classes; she is a |
| 26 |
| cosmetician in North Chicago and a member of the Christian |
| 27 |
| Valley Missionary Baptist Church; therefore, be it
|
