| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The Oswego Village Board recently presented |
| 3 |
| Lifesaving Awards to Captain Nick Sikora and Officer John |
| 4 |
| Wolfinbarger of the Oswego Police Department; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Captain Nick Sikora was nominated for his actions |
| 6 |
| on May 24, 2006, when he responded to a call of a man down; he |
| 7 |
| found a man lying on the ground, unconscious and not breathing; |
| 8 |
| while waiting for paramedics to arrive, Captain Sikora began |
| 9 |
| CPR; the victim was revived at the scene and transported to the |
| 10 |
| hospital; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, Officer John Wolfinbarger was nominated for his |
| 12 |
| actions on June 4, 2006, when he responded to a call of a man |
| 13 |
| down; he found a man lying on the floor, unconscious and not |
| 14 |
| breathing; Officer Wolfinbarger began CPR until paramedics |
| 15 |
| arrived and transported the victim to the hospital; and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, During the October 9, 2006 meeting of the Oswego |
| 17 |
| Village Board, Captain Sikora and Officer Wolfinbarger were |
| 18 |
| presented with Lifesaving Awards for their efforts in saving |
| 19 |
| the lives of area residents; and
|
| 20 |
| WHEREAS, Captain Sikora and Officer Wolfinbarger are to be |
| 21 |
| commended for their dedication to the people of Oswego; |
| 22 |
| therefore, be it
|
| 23 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 24 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 25 |
| we congratulate Captain Nick Sikora and Officer John |
| 26 |
| Wolfinbarger on receiving Lifesaving Awards, and thank them for |
| 27 |
| a job well done; and be it further
|
| 28 |
| RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be |
| 29 |
| presented to Captain Nick Sikora and Officer John Wolfinbarger.
