| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 |
| Representatives are pleased to honor milestones in the lives of |
| 4 |
| citizens of the State of Illinois; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Mundelein Fire Chief Randy Justus is retiring |
| 6 |
| after 31 years serving the people of Mundelein; and
|
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, Chief Justus began his fascination with the fire |
| 8 |
| department when he was a teenager, and during high school he |
| 9 |
| made the decision to go into this important field; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, He was named the Fire Chief of Mundelein on April |
| 11 |
| 1, 1990 and is planning his retirement for November 29, 2006; |
| 12 |
| and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, In addition to serving as Fire Chief, he has also |
| 14 |
| helped in the development of the Village's Emergency Management |
| 15 |
| Plan; he has worked with neighboring fire departments in mutual |
| 16 |
| aid agreements; he was also instrumental in securing better |
| 17 |
| equipment for the department; and
|
| 18 |
| WHEREAS, Randy Justus is involved with the Illinois Fire |
| 19 |
| Chiefs Association and the International Association of Fire |
| 20 |
| Chiefs; he received Chief Fire Officer Designation by the |
| 21 |
| International Association of Fire Chiefs, as well as Fire |
| 22 |
| Officer III certification; therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 24 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 25 |
| we congratulate Fire Chief Randy Justus on his retirement, |
| 26 |
| recognize all of his hard work and dedication to the people of |
| 27 |
| Mundelein, and wish him success in the future; and be it |
