HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to honor a new talent in the State of Illinois; and

WHEREAS, Brittany Clarke of Bluford has just released her second album, "Dreams", and is on her way to becoming a star; and

WHEREAS, Brittany, the daughter of Scott and Sandy Clarke, recently won singing awards at the Illinois Country Music Association (ICMA) contest in Bloomington; and

WHEREAS, The eleven songs on "Dreams" are all original works; and

WHEREAS, At the ICMA contest, Brittany won first place in the New Modern Country division for the 17-20 age group in the Female Entertainer and Female Vocalist categories; her duet with Jordan Carter won first place in the Traditional category; and

WHEREAS, Brittany will also be at a national competition in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee; she is currently weighing college choices and planning for a major in music; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Brittany Clarke on her hard work, and wish her continued success in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Brittany Clarke.
