HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to honor our servicemen and women
4 who are serving their country overseas; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Alexander S. Kazenko
6 of Plainfield, Illinois, the son of David Kazenko and Lydia
7 Dziedzic and nephew of Illinois State Representative Cynthia
8 Soto, recently returned to the U.S. after serving a six-month
9 deployment in Ramadi, Iraq; and
 
10     WHEREAS, During his deployment, he assisted in saving the
11 life of one of his fellow soldiers, Lance Corporal Patrick
12 Howard; Howard was injured by mortar fire and Corpsman Kazenko
13 bandaged him and kept him alive until he could be medivaced to
14 safety; and
 
15     WHEREAS, He has served in the United States Navy for three
16 years, and holds the rank of E-4 Corpsman; he is currently
17 stationed at Bethesda Naval Hospital in Maryland, where he is a
18 surgical technologist in the main operating room; and
 
19     WHEREAS, Alexander Kazenko he also served on a hospital
20 ship during Hurricane Katrina, providing medical care for the
21 people of the area; his ship was then sent to New Orleans for
22 45 days to help out those hurt by Hurricane Rita; and
 
23     WHEREAS, Alexander Kazenko deserves our respect for his
24 hard work and dedication to the people of the United States;
25 therefore, be it
 
26     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
27 NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
28 we thank Alexander S. Kazenko for a job well done; and be it
29 further

1     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
2 presented to Alexander S. Kazenko, along with our sincere
3 appreciation for all he has done for the people of the State of
4 Illinois and the United States of America.
