HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the State of Illinois are pleased to congratulate Don Rector on the occasion of his retirement after 16 years of service as Jefferson County Clerk and Recorder; and

WHEREAS, Don Rector was elected Jefferson County Clerk and Recorder in November 1990; he will retire on November 30, 2006, after serving 16 years, having ran unopposed all except for his first term; and

WHEREAS, Don Rector is the son of Kelley and Blanche Rector and Doris O'Neal; he married Dixie Storment on June 18, 1965; they are the proud parents of daughters, Angie (husband, John) Whipple and Misty (husband, Tim) Baker; and the grandparents of two granddaughters and five grandsons; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Don Rector on the occasion of his retirement after 16 years as Jefferson County Clerk and Recorder; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to him as an expression of our deep respect and esteem and with best wishes for a relaxing retirement.
