HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The institution of marriage is one of the
3 cornerstones upon which our society is built, and a marriage
4 that has achieved a notable longevity is truly a model for the
5 people of the State of Illinois; and
 
6     WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Mr. and Mrs.
7 Walter Mauck will celebrate the sixtieth anniversary of their
8 marriage; and
 
9     WHEREAS, Walter and Aurelia were married at St. Clement
10 Catholic Church in McLeansboro on September 4, 1946 with Father
11 Bill Brandmeyer officiating; and
 
12     WHEREAS, Walter and Aurelia have three sons, Carl (wife,
13 Vicki), Father George, and Walter, Jr. (wife, Sue); the proud
14 grandparents of Tim (wife, Wendy) Mauck, Chrissy Mauck, Teresa
15 (husband, Ryan) Shaffer, Cathy Mauck, Matthew Mauck, and Amy
16 Mauck; and the great-grandparents of Jackson and Hudson Shaffer
17 and Elia Mauck; and
 
18     WHEREAS, The respect for marriage reaches one of its
19 highest plateaus when a couple such as Walter and Aurelia
20 celebrate their diamond wedding anniversary; and
 
21     WHEREAS, Walter and Aurelia stand as examples of the best
22 of our society, and their love and devotion to each other and
23 to their family and friends serve as a reminder to all that
24 hard work, dedication, and love can make a difference in
25 today's world; therefore, be it
 
26     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
27 NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
28 we congratulate Mr. and Mrs. Walter Mauck on the occasion of
29 their sixtieth wedding anniversary, and we commend them for

1 achieving a long and happy marriage, blessed with family and
2 rich in friendships; and be it further
 
3     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
4 presented to them as an expression of our respect and esteem
5 and with our wishes for happiness and good health in the
6 future.
