HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the State of Illinois are pleased to recognize milestone events in the lives of citizens of our State; and

WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Mrs. Marion Farmer of Chicago is celebrating the 94th anniversary of her birth; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Farmer has lived in the eighth Congressional District for over thirty years; she has been and continues to be an active contributor and participant in issues and events that concern her block and community; and

WHEREAS, She is a model neighbor and has shown generosity and compassion for those in the neighborhood that have been bereaved or displayed a need; she is a faithful church member and is a ready advocate for improved academic centers for the children of the community; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Farmer celebrated her 94th birthday on April 8, 2006; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Mrs. Marion Farmer on the occasion of her 94th birthday, and we wish her well in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Mrs. Farmer as an expression of our esteem.
