| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the |
| 3 |
| State of Illinois are pleased to recognize the 100th |
| 4 |
| anniversary of the A.A. Scottish Rite in Southern Illinois; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, The weekend of July 22-23, 2006, is one of |
| 6 |
| greatest importance to the Scottish Rite in the Valley of |
| 7 |
| Southern Illinois; there is a monthly fish fry scheduled for |
| 8 |
| Friday, July 21, 2006; Saturday, July 22, 2006, will feature a |
| 9 |
| gala to benefit the 32° Masonic Learning Center; the gala will |
| 10 |
| include a social hour, dinner and a speaker, a dance, and a |
| 11 |
| silent and oral auction throughout the evening; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, Sunday, July 23, 2006, is the 100th anniversary of |
| 13 |
| the chartering of the Saint Clair Lodge of Perfection, which |
| 14 |
| began the Valley of Southern Illinois; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, The membership of the Valley of Southern Illinois |
| 16 |
| will come together on Sunday, July 23, 2006, in a worship |
| 17 |
| service led by the Reverend Donald Sabbert; Ill. Brother Norman |
| 18 |
| L. Christensen, 33°, Grand Minister of State of the Supreme |
| 19 |
| Council, will be the featured speaker; therefore, be it
|
| 20 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 21 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 22 |
| we recognize the 100th anniversary of the A.A. Scottish Rite in |
| 23 |
| Southern Illinois; and be it further
|
| 24 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 25 |
| presented to the membership of the Valley of Southern Illinois |
| 26 |
| of the A.A. Scottish Rite as an expression of our esteem.
