HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The Wesclin Warriors boys basketball team recently won its IHSA Class A regional tournament and went on to win the supersectional semifinal game as well; and

WHEREAS, The Warriors defeated the Greenville Comets in the Staunton Regional title game with a score of 48 to 38; they defeated Columbia in the semifinal supersectional game with a score of 57 to 39; and

WHEREAS, Nick Fuhler had a game-high 20 points in the supersectional semifinal, and two students finished the game with a double-double, Brent Schomaker and Sean Rakers; the team made ten out of eleven free throws; and

WHEREAS, The Wesclin Warriors are led by head coach Brent Brede; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the Wesclin Warriors boys basketball team on winning the IHSA Class A Staunton Regional tournament; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to each of the members and the coaches of the Wesclin Warriors boys basketball team as an expression of our esteem.
