| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The SciTech Hands On Museum in Aurora is the first |
| 3 |
| U.S. host of the exhibition "Dinosaurios Argentinos - Giants of |
| 4 |
| Patagonia"; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, This unique exhibition has 20 Argentinian |
| 6 |
| dinosaurs, including complete skeletons, bones, skulls, |
| 7 |
| dinosaur tracks, and life restorations; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, This paleontological exhibition is of great |
| 9 |
| interest to the target age group of the SciTech audience; |
| 10 |
| paleontology demonstrates the relationship between natural |
| 11 |
| sciences and technology in the context of subject matter that |
| 12 |
| is of interest to young students and families; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, Ambassador Jose Bordon, Argentina's ambassador to |
| 14 |
| the U.S., will be present at the dedication of the exhibition |
| 15 |
| on March 25, 2006; and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, The collaboration and cultural ties between |
| 17 |
| Argentina and the U.S. are greatly enhanced by this exhibition; |
| 18 |
| "Dinosaurios Argentinos - Giants of Patagonia" is curated by |
| 19 |
| the Grupo de Gestores Patrimonio Cultural Latino Americano and |
| 20 |
| is under the auspices of the Cultural Division of the Foreign |
| 21 |
| Ministry of Argentina; therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 23 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 24 |
| we honor the SciTech Hands On Museum of Aurora on the occasion |
| 25 |
| of the dedication of the "Dinosaurios Argentinos - Giants of |
| 26 |
| Patagonia" exhibition; and be it further
|
| 27 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 28 |
| presented to SciTech Hands On Museum as an expression of our |
| 29 |
| best wishes for a successful exhibition.
