HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the State of Illinois are pleased to recognize milestones in the lives of citizens of our State; and

WHEREAS, Norma Morrison of Glenview recently celebrated the 90th anniversary of her birth; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Morrison was the first woman elected to the office of trustee on the North Shore and has served on Glenview's historic preservation commission; with her friend, Henry Hill, she co-founded Citizens Organized for Wagner's, a group that campaigned to save Wagner Farm; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Morrison has also been active in public hearings on plans for a new library and redevelopment of downtown Glenview; and

WHEREAS, She was honored for her birthday by Glenview village officials at a reception on Tuesday, March 21, 2006; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Ms. Norma Morrison on reaching the distinguished age of 90 years, and we wish her all the best in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to her as an expression of our esteem.
