HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the
3 State of Illinois learned with sadness of the death of Donald
4 L. Brummerstedt of Plainfield on Thursday, October 20, 2005;
5 and
 
6     WHEREAS, He was born on July 27, 1937, in Evergreen Park;
7 his earlier years were spent in Oak Park; he was a graduate of
8 Revis High School and shortly after graduation, he met his wife
9 to be, Elizabeth "Jane"; they were married in March of 1958;
10 they were married 47 years, and she preceded him in death in
11 2001; and
 
12     WHEREAS, Mr. Brummerstedt worked in the concrete industry
13 for more than 50 years; he started several companies, including
14 TBS Excavating, which he ran with his son; and
 
15     WHEREAS, He was a longtime member of Troy Sportsman's Club;
16 he enjoyed trap shooting, fishing, and rustic camping weekends
17 with the family; he and Jane enjoyed their dream retirement
18 home in Missouri; and
 
19     WHEREAS, The passing of Donald L. Brummerstedt has been
20 deeply felt by many, especially his children, Donna (husband
21 Bruce) Stanley, Timothy (wife Colleen) Brummerstedt, and Joyce
22 (husband Mark) Hanacek; his grandchildren, Jessica (husband
23 Joe) Ziegler, Lindsey Stanley, Kurtis, Kelsi, and Kolton
24 Brummerstedt, and Monique, Marcus, Ashley, and Kyle Hanacek;
25 his brothers, Jack (wife Lenore), Barry (wife Nancy), and
26 Robert (wife Teri) Brummerstedt; and his many nieces and
27 nephews; he was also preceded in death by his grandson, Derrek
28 Brummerstedt; therefore, be it
 
29     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
30 NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that

1 we mourn the passing of Donald L. Brummerstedt, and we extend
2 our deepest sympathy to his family, friends, and all who knew
3 and loved him; and be it further
 
4     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
5 presented to his family as an expression of our sincerest
6 condolences.
