HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The Epiphany School Lady Knights eighth grade girls basketball team of Normal recently placed third in the IESA 8A State Tournament; and

WHEREAS, The Lady Knights finished the season with an excellent record of 24 wins and 3 losses and a home record of 12 wins and no losses; they were the Epiphany Columbus Day Tournament Champions; and

WHEREAS, They were the Sangamon Valley Conference regular season champions and placed second at the Sangamon Valley Conference tournament; they went on to win at the regional and sectional level; and

WHEREAS, The team is led by head coach Dave Schmitt and assistant coach Greg Reinhart; the statistician is Zoe Myers, and the manager is Jordan Weth; and

WHEREAS, The members of the Lady Knights are Chelsea Collins, Haley Cook, Kristina Mlincsek, Jamie Baldwin, Carly Norton, Cristin Neill, Jennifer Baldwin, Maggie Blaney, and Julie Schmitt; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the Lady Knights on an excellent season and on placing third in the IESA 8A State Tournament; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to each of the members and coaches of the Lady Knights and to Epiphany School as an expression of our esteem.
