1 HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION

2     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
3 NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE
4 SENATE CONCURRING HEREIN, that there is created the Fire
5 Protection Task Force consisting of 9 members as follows: (i)
6 one member appointed by the Governor, (ii) one member appointed
7 by the Illinois Municipal League, (iii) one member appointed by
8 the Northern Illinois Alliance of Fire Protection Districts,
9 (iv) one member appointed by the Illinois Association of Fire
10 Protection Districts, (v) one member appointed by the
11 Associated Firefighters of Illinois, (vi) one member appointed
12 by the Illinois Fire Chiefs Association, and (vii) 4 members
13 appointed by the Illinois Legislative Fire Caucus; and be it
14 further

15     RESOLVED, That the Task Force shall study the issue of
16 merger and consolidation of services among fire protection
17 districts, and the Task Force must report to the Governor and
18 the General Assembly no later than November 1, 2006; and be it
19 further

20     RESOLVED, That the Task Force shall dissolve upon reporting
21 to the Governor and the General Assembly.
