1 HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, During the 94th General Assembly, the Joint Task
3 Force on Meat and Poultry Inspection was established pursuant
4 to House Joint Resolution 115 to review current laws and
5 regulations pertaining to the licensing and regulation of meat
6 and poultry processors and slaughterers and determine whether
7 changes are warranted in the licensing and regulation of these
8 entities; and

9     WHEREAS, The Joint Task Force requires further time to
10 complete its work; therefore, be it

11     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
12 NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE
13 SENATE CONCURRING HEREIN, that the Joint Task Force on Meat and
14 Poultry Inspection is extended; and be it further

15     RESOLVED, That the Joint Task Force shall submit a report,
16 as established in its authorizing resolution, on or before
17 March 1, 2007; and be it further

18     RESOLVED, That with this reporting extension, the Joint
19 Task Force shall continue to operate pursuant to its enabling
20 resolution.
