1 HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION 139

2     WHEREAS, During the 94th General Assembly, the Joint Task
3 Force on Deaf and Hard of Hearing Education Options was
4 established to undertake a comprehensive and thorough review of
5 education and services available to the deaf or hard of hearing
6 children in Illinois; and

7     WHEREAS, The Joint Task Force was to report its findings
8 and recommendations to the General Assembly no later than
9 January 1, 2007; and

10     WHEREAS, The Joint Task Force needs additional time to
11 complete its work; therefore, be it

12     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
13 NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE
14 SENATE CONCURRING HEREIN, that the Joint Task Force on Deaf and
15 Hard of Hearing Education Options shall submit a report, as
16 established in its authorizing resolution, no later than
17 January 5, 2007; and be it further

18     RESOLVED, That with this reporting extension, the Joint
19 Task Force on Deaf and Hard of Hearing Education Options shall
20 continue to operate pursuant to its enabling resolution.
