SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

705 ILCS 405/2-10.1

from Ch. 37, par. 802-10.1

Amends the Juvenile Court Act of 1987. Makes a technical change in a Section regarding case plans for alleged abused, neglected, or dependent minors placed in shelter care.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning courts.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Juvenile Court Act of 1987 is amended by changing Section 2-10.1 as follows:

(705 ILCS 405/2-10.1) (from Ch. 37, par. 802-10.1)

Sec. 2-10.1. Whenever a minor is placed in shelter care with the Department or a licensed child welfare agency in accordance with Section 2-10, the the Department or agency, as appropriate, shall prepare and file with the court within 45 days of placement under Section 2-10 a case plan which complies with the federal Adoption Assistance and Child Welfare Act of 1980 and is consistent with the health, safety and best interests of the minor.
