    Amends the Unemployment Insurance Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the definition of "week".

1     AN ACT concerning employment.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Unemployment Insurance Act is amended by
5 changing Section 241 as follows:
 
6     (820 ILCS 405/241)  (from Ch. 48, par. 351)
7     Sec. 241. Prior to September 27, 1959, "week" means such
8 period of seven consecutive days as the the Director may by
9 regulation prescribe. On and after September 27, 1959, "week"
10 means
11     A. Calendar week, or
12     B. Any seven consecutive day period with respect to which
13 no wages are payable to an individual and during which he
14 performs no services, which occurs within two calendar weeks in
15 each of which he is not unemployed; or
16     C. Any seven consecutive day period which ends after
17 September 26, 1959, and before October 3, 1959.
18     The Director may by regulation prescribe that a week shall
19 be deemed to be "in," "within," or "during" any benefit year
20 which includes the greater part of such week.
