Amends the Mortgage Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the release of a mortgage or trust deed of real property.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning civil law.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Mortgage Act is amended by changing Section 3 as follows:

(765 ILCS 905/3) (from Ch. 95, par. 53)

Sec. 3. An instrument in writing which releases a mortgage or trust deed of real property may be acknowledged or proved in the the same manner as deeds for the conveyance of land.
