1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of
3 Illinois were saddened to learn of the death of Anastasia
4 "Stacey" Breen of St. Charles on March 25, 2003; and
5 WHEREAS, Mrs. Breen was born in Claremont, New Hampshire
6 and grew up in Lynn, Massachusetts; she graduated from Lynn
7 English High School in 1966; after high school graduation,
8 she received a degree from North Shore Community College and
9 Plymouth State College in Plymouth, New Hampshire; and
10 WHEREAS, Mrs. Breen was employed as a teacher at the St.
11 Charles Youth Home; she had previously taught at elementary
12 schools in Peoria, New Hampshire, Connecticut, and at State
13 College in Pennsylvania; and
14 WHEREAS, Mrs. Breen's passing will be deeply felt by
15 many, especially her husband, James O. Breen; her children,
16 Ryan and Lauren Breen; her sister, Adrianne Flower; her aunt
17 and uncle, Irma Orphanos and Gerry Orphanos; her in-laws,
18 Frederick and Helen Breen; and many nieces, nephews, and
19 cousins; and
20 WHEREAS, Mrs. Breen was preceded in death by her parents,
21 Sophie Siegfriedt and Plato Emanuel; therefore, be it
22 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL
23 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the death of
24 Anastasia "Stacey" Breen along with all who knew and loved
25 her and extend our sincere condolences to her family and
26 friends; and be it further
27 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
28 presented to the family of Anastasia "Stacey" Breen with our
29 deepest sympathy.
