SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Martha G. Richmond of Hillsboro, who passed away on January 20, 2023 at the age of 90; and

WHEREAS, Martha Richmond was born in Waynesboro, Tennessee; and

WHEREAS, Martha Richmond was preceded in death by her parents, E. R. Davis and Ethel W. Davis; her husband, Carrol J. "C. J." Richmond; and her daughters, Peggy Sue Joyce (Morgan) and Laura Kay Moler (Richmond); and

WHEREAS, Martha Richmond is survived by her children, Rebecca Ann Hartel (LeRoy), Lonnie Dane Morgan, Judy DeLane Goad (Charlie), Terry Lee Richmond (Tammy), and Betsy Jane Murphy (Don); her 12 grandchildren; her 13 great-grandchildren; and her 16 great-great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Martha G. Richmond and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Martha Richmond as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
