SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Daniel David "Dan" Barber of
4Springfield, who passed away on February 22, 2023; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Dan Barber was born in Springfield to Charles M.
6and Angelina M. (DiPasquale) Barber on August 11, 1955; he
7attended St. Cabrini Elementary School and graduated from
8Griffin High School in 1973; he received his bachelor's degree
9from Illinois State University and his Master of Physical
10Therapy from Des Moines University in 1995; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Dan Barber worked most recently as a
12self-employed physical therapist and a substitute teacher at
13Harvard Park Elementary School; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Dan Barber was actively involved with the Sacred
15Heart-Griffin High School football program; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Dan Barber was preceded in death by his parents;
17and
 
18    WHEREAS, Dan Barber is survived by his brothers, Charles
19J. (Christine) and Michael T. (Suzanne) Barber; his sister,
20Cathy (John) Sartore; his aunts, Janet Barber and Liz

1DiPasquale; and several nieces, nephews, cousins,
2great-nieces, and great-nephews; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Daniel David "Dan" Barber and extend our sincere condolences
6to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
7it further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Dan Barber as an expression of our
10deepest sympathy.
