SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Daniel David "Dan" Barber of Springfield, who passed away on February 22, 2023; and

WHEREAS, Dan Barber was born in Springfield to Charles M. and Angelina M. (DiPasquale) Barber on August 11, 1955; he attended St. Cabrini Elementary School and graduated from Griffin High School in 1973; he received his bachelor's degree from Illinois State University and his Master of Physical Therapy from Des Moines University in 1995; and

WHEREAS, Dan Barber worked most recently as a self-employed physical therapist and a substitute teacher at Harvard Park Elementary School; and

WHEREAS, Dan Barber was actively involved with the Sacred Heart-Griffin High School football program; and

WHEREAS, Dan Barber was preceded in death by his parents; and

WHEREAS, Dan Barber is survived by his brothers, Charles J. (Christine) and Michael T. (Suzanne) Barber; his sister, Cathy (John) Sartore; his aunts, Janet Barber and Liz DiPasquale; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, and great-nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Daniel David "Dan" Barber and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Dan Barber as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
