SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
305 ILCS 5/5-2.06

    Amends the Medical Assistance Article of the Illinois Public Aid Code. Provides that beginning January 1, 2025 (rather than January 1, 2020), the Department of Healthcare and Family Services shall reimburse Children's Community-Based Health Care Centers at the lower of their usual and customary charge to the public or at the Department rate of $1500 (rather than $950). Effective January 1, 2025.

1    AN ACT concerning public aid.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by
5changing Section 5-2.06 as follows:
 
6    (305 ILCS 5/5-2.06)
7    Sec. 5-2.06. Payment rates; Children's Community-Based
8Health Care Centers. Beginning January 1, 2025 2020, the
9Department shall, for eligible individuals, reimburse
10Children's Community-Based Health Care Centers established in
11the Alternative Health Care Delivery Act and providing nursing
12care for the purpose of transitioning children from a hospital
13to home placement or other appropriate setting and reuniting
14families for a maximum of up to 120 days on a per diem basis at
15the lower of the Children's Community-Based Health Care
16Center's usual and customary charge to the public or at the
17Department rate of $1500 $950. Payments at the rate set forth
18in this Section are exempt from the 2.7% rate reduction
19required under Section 5-5e.
