Amends the Accident and Health Article of the Illinois Insurance Code. Provides that notwithstanding any provision to the contrary, an individual or group policy of accident and health insurance amended, delivered, issued, or renewed in this State on or after the effective date of the amendatory Act shall provide coverage of specified health benefits for individuals at least 55 years of age but no more than 65 years of age.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
| 4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Insurance Code is amended by | 5 | | adding Section 356z.61 as follows: | 6 | | (215 ILCS 5/356z.61 new) | 7 | | Sec. 356z.61. Coverage for individuals between 55 and 65 | 8 | | years of age. Notwithstanding any provision of this Code to | 9 | | the contrary, an individual or group policy of accident and | 10 | | health insurance amended, delivered, issued, or renewed in | 11 | | this State on or after the effective date of this amendatory | 12 | | Act of the 103rd General Assembly shall provide coverage, for | 13 | | individuals at least 55 years of age but no more than 65 years | 14 | | of age, for the following: | 15 | | (1) a single screening for abdominal aortic aneurysm; | 16 | | (2) alcohol misuse screening and counseling; | 17 | | (3) prescription aspirin to prevent cardiovascular | 18 | | disease and colorectal cancer for individuals with high | 19 | | risk of cardiovascular disease; | 20 | | (4) high blood pressure screening; | 21 | | (5) high cholesterol screening; | 22 | | (6) depression screening; | 23 | | (7) diet counseling; |

| 1 | | (8) fall prevention, including exercise, physical | 2 | | therapy, and prescription vitamin D, for individuals | 3 | | living in a community setting; | 4 | | (9) hepatitis B screening; | 5 | | (10) hepatitis C screening; | 6 | | (11) human immunodeficiency virus screening; | 7 | | (12) immunization for varicella, diphtheria, | 8 | | influenza, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, measles, | 9 | | meningococcal disease, mumps, pertussis, pneumococcal | 10 | | disease, rubella, and tetanus; | 11 | | (13) lung cancer screening for individuals at high | 12 | | risk for lung cancer; | 13 | | (14) obesity screening and counseling; | 14 | | (15) sexually transmitted infection prevention | 15 | | counseling; | 16 | | (16) statin medication; | 17 | | (17) syphilis screening; and | 18 | | (18) tuberculosis screening.
