HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate the Lake Forest High School Varsity Dance Team on placing first in the 2023 2A Varsity Illinois High School Association State Final; and

WHEREAS, The Varsity Illinois High School Association State Final took place at the Grossinger Motors Arena in Bloomington, Illinois on Saturday, January 28, 2023; and

WHEREAS, The Lake Forest High School Varsity Dance Team placed first in the Varsity Illinois High School Association State Final for the first time in 22 years; and

WHEREAS, The Lake Forest High School Varsity Dance Team earned the opportunity to compete in the High School National Championship in Orlando, Florida and placed fourth in the nation for pom and eighth in the nation for jazz; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the Lake Forest High School Varsity Dance Team on their success, and we recognize their hard work, dedication to excellence, and proud representation of their school and the State; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the Lake Forest High School Varsity Dance Team as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
