HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Alpine Academy of Rockford, then known as Luther Academy of Alpine, began providing quality faith-based education in 1997 as a partnership between Alpine Lutheran Church and Rockford Lutheran Schools; and

WHEREAS, The Alpine Lutheran Church congregation made the bold commitment to continue education as Alpine Academy of Rockford in 2007 when Rockford Lutheran Schools made the determination to discontinue the school at Alpine; and

WHEREAS, Alpine Academy of Rockford has remained dedicated to providing Pre K through sixth grade education that focuses on ensuring that young people are prepared for future scholastic achievement and participation as good citizens; and

WHEREAS, Through the dedication of the teachers, staff, students, families, and the congregation, Alpine Academy continues to uphold its core values of grace, family, involvement, commitment, and achievement; and

WHEREAS, In 2023, Alpine Academy of Rockford expanded its commitment to education throughout Rockford by opening a new location in conjunction with Resurrection Lutheran Church on Rockford's west side; and

WHEREAS, In 2023, Alpine Academy of Rockford is celebrating 25 years of high quality education at Alpine and throughout the Rockford community; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Alpine Academy of Rockford for its continued devotion to quality education on the occasion of its 25th anniversary; and be it further

RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be presented Alpine Academy of Rockford as an expression of our esteem and respect.
