HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, It is appropriate that the members of the Illinois House of Representatives should recognize Pastor Byron E. Whitehead of Mount Carmel Bible Church who strives to enrich the lives of the people in his communities; and

WHEREAS, The good people of Mount Carmel Bible Church will be celebrating Pastor Byron E. Whitehead's 25th pastoral anniversary this year, and they treasure having a pastor who helped change their church for the better; and

WHEREAS, Pastor Byron Whitehead's efforts of labor and love do not go unnoticed; and

WHEREAS, Pastor Whitehead has given much that is worth noting and celebrating, including his prayers, diligence, sacrifice, and commitment to his faith and the Mount Carmel Bible Church; and

WHEREAS, Pastor Whitehead has taught, led, and guided Mount Carmel Bible Church for 25 years with self-discipline, love, compassion, enthusiasm, grace, humbleness, and faith; he is a blessing to his congregation, community, and this great State; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we honor Pastor Byron E. Whitehead of Mount Carmel Bible Church for his commitment to his faith, for being a spiritual father, and for bring a role model to so many in the church, community, and this State and wish him and his congregation all the best as they celebrate his 25 year pastoral anniversary; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Pastor Byron Whitehead as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
