1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The U.S. Census Bureau has admitted that they
3 undercounted the State of Illinois during the 2020 Census;
4 therefore, be it

5     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
6 HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
7 we urge the Biden Administration to adjust federal funding
8 levels for undercounted areas and to see that Illinois
9 receives the funds appropriate to its actual population, not
10 the undercount; and be it further

11     RESOLVED, That the State of Illinois should take all
12 appropriate steps to ensure undercounted communities within
13 the State receive their proper funding; and be it further

14     RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
15 delivered to President Biden and Governor Pritzker.
