HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Frank Nunez of Crystal Lake, who passed away on January 22, 2023; and

WHEREAS, Frank Nunez was born to Alejandro and Luz Nunez on September 21, 1988; and

WHEREAS, Frank Nunez was a committed firefighter for the Itasca Fire Department; he was extremely motivated and a hard worker; his positive attitude stayed with him even until his last moments; he was genuinely kind-hearted and compassionate and a supportive husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend who was wise beyond his years; and

WHEREAS, Frank Nunez was preceded in death by his parents; and

WHEREAS, Frank Nunez is survived by his wife, Christina Patel; his twin sister, Mariela (Raymond Jr.) Earhart; his brother, Alejandro (Kate) Nunez; his sister, Veronica (Julio) Rangel; his nieces and nephews, Keanu, Aaliyah, and Alyssa Rangel, Raymond III, and Michael Earhart; his grandmother, Maria Del Refujio Chacon; his firefighter brothers and sisters; his friends; and his beloved dogs, Max and Otis; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Frank Nunez and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Frank Nunez as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
