HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to recognize Stephon Howze on the occasion of his placing as a finalist and the runner-up in the kindergarten spelling bee at Ball Charter School; and

WHEREAS, Stephon Howze is the son of Shawnette Stelivan and Shawntel Howze Sr. and the brother of two sisters, Shawntiana Howze and Shaniya Howze, and two brothers, Torion Howze and the late Shawntel Howze Jr.; and

WHEREAS, Stephon Howze is a member of Angela Koehler's kindergarten class at Ball Charter School in Springfield; and

WHEREAS, At school, Stephon Howze's favorite subjects include art and math, and he enjoys learning about the solar system; and

WHEREAS, Outside of school, Stephon Howze enjoys doing arts and crafts and science projects; and

WHEREAS, Stephon Howze has expressed interest in becoming a doctor or a paleontologist when he gets older; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we recognize Stephon Howze on placing as a finalist and the runner-up in the kindergarten spelling bee at Ball Charter School, and we wish him continued success in his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Stephon Howze as an expression of our esteem and respect.
