HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Herbert H. "Herb" Frohock III on the occasion of his retirement as business manager and financial secretary-treasurer of the United Association of Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 553 (UA Local 553); and

WHEREAS, Herb Frohock was initiated into UA Local 553 on July 1, 1982, and he has been an officer since 2004 when he was first elected to the Examining Board, holding that position until 2012; and

WHEREAS, Herb Frohock was then elected to the Executive Board of UA Local 553, serving until 2015; during that time, he was appointed business representative in 2013, a position he also held until 2015; and

WHEREAS, Herb Frohock was elected as business manager and financial secretary-treasurer of UA Local 553 in 2015, a position he will conclude on February 1, 2024; and

WHEREAS, Herb Frohock has held a number of leadership roles in various other organizations, including serving as vice president of the Illinois Pipe Trades Association, labor chair of the United Way of Greater St. Louis Auxiliary Board of the Southwest Illinois Division, and labor representative for the United Way of Greater St. Louis Board of Directors; and

WHEREAS, Herb Frohock is the husband of Dawn Frohock and the father of sons and fellow UA Local 553 members, H. Hadley Frohock IV and Hunter Frohock; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Herbert H. "Herb" Frohock III on his retirement from the United Association of Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 553 (UA Local 553) after 41 years of service, and we extend our best wishes to all of his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Herb Frohock as an expression of our esteem and respect.
