HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Christa Boden of Chicago, who passed away on October 20, 2023; and

WHEREAS, Christa Boden was born in Germany to Wilhelm and Frieda (Kollak) Reinecke on January 24, 1937; and

WHEREAS, Christa Boden was affectionately known as "Oma" to her grandchildren; she especially enjoyed gathering with friends and family; and

WHEREAS, Christa Boden loved traveling the world with her husband, and her hobbies included ballroom dancing, biking, and scrapbooking; and

WHEREAS, Christa Boden was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Wilhelm, Waldtraut, and Frieda Reinecke; and

WHEREAS, Christa Boden is survived by her husband of 67 years, Hans Boden; her daughters, Crystal (Don) Mason and Joan (Jim) Capodice; her grandchildren, Eric Herrera, Brittney (Nick) Balduc, and Scott Capodice; her great-grandchildren, Natalia, Niklas, Logan, Lucas, Leighton, and Lila; her brother, Wilfried (Monika) Reinecke; and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Christa Boden and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Christa Boden as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
