HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Mary Lou Herron of McHenry, who passed away on April 21, 2023; and

WHEREAS, Mary Herron was born to Albert and Marie Oonk in Woodstock on March 15, 1952, and she was raised in McHenry; and

WHEREAS, Mary Herron owned and operated a home daycare for over 20 years; she later worked for Head Start in McHenry and Bright Horizons in Crystal Lake; and

WHEREAS, Mary Herron enjoyed making crafts, traveling, and camping; and

WHEREAS, Mary Herron was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, David Miller and Raymond Herron; and her brothers, Larry and Irvin; and

WHEREAS, Mary Herron is survived by her children, Jennifer (Mark) Evins, Josh (Serenity) Jensen, and Sirianna Herron; her grandchildren, Erin, Kiersten (Dakota), Morgin, Matthew (Celine), Laurin, Madison, Jacob, Olivia, and Marty (Nadine); her great-grandchildren, Jaydin, Masin, Maylene, and Savannah; her significant other, Kerry Epstein; her sisters, Trudy (Dale) Medendorp, Lillian Mullen, and Deanna Graham; her friend, Lucy Palumbo; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Mary Lou Herron and extend our deepest sympathies to her family, friends, colleagues, and all who knew and admired her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Mary Herron as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
