| | 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | | 3 | | Representatives wish to congratulate the Moline High School | | 4 | | boys basketball team, the Maroons, on winning the 2022-23 | | 5 | | Illinois High School Association Class 4A State Championship; | | 6 | | and
| | 7 | | WHEREAS, The Maroons defeated Benet Academy 59 to 43 on | | 8 | | March 11, 2023 for the first championship in the school's | | 9 | | history; and
| | 10 | | WHEREAS, The Maroons compiled a season record of 35 wins | | 11 | | and 3 losses on their way to the title; and
| | 12 | | WHEREAS, The Maroons are led by Head Coach Sean Taylor and | | 13 | | Assistant Coaches Pat Rangel and Troy Noble; and
| | 14 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Maroons are Brock Harding,
