HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate the Bradley Braves men's basketball team on being named the Missouri Valley Conference regular season champions; and

WHEREAS, The Braves defeated the Drake Bulldogs 73 to 61 in front of a sold-out crowd at Carver Arena; and

WHEREAS, The Braves' relentless pursuit of victory was realized under the impeccable leadership of Head Coach Brian Wardle; and

WHEREAS, With a passionate home crowd of more than 10,000 loyal and newly energized fans, the Braves pressed, pushed, and pulled from the opening tip-off to the final buzzer, ultimately achieving one of the team's most memorable victories; and

WHEREAS, The Braves, for the first time in 27 years, won 16 games in conference play, and they also tied for the most in program history; they worked hard and accomplished tremendous success; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the members of the Bradley Braves men's basketball team on being named the Missouri Valley Conference regular season champions, and we wish them many more successful seasons; and be it further

RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be presented to the coaches and players of the Bradley Braves men's basketball team as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
