HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Mark R.
4Einwich of St. Charles, formerly of Burlington and Elgin, who
5passed away on March 7, 2023; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Mark Einwich was born to Otto Einwich Jr. and
7Judy Einwich in Elgin on January 31, 1968; he was raised in
8Elgin and graduated from Burlington Central High School in
91986; he earned his associate's degree from Elgin Community
10College and attended the Illinois Fire Service Institute and
11the National Fire Academy; he married Angela "Angie" Koukol;
12and
 
13    WHEREAS, Mark Einwich was a 30-year member of the Geneva
14Fire Department, where he rose to the rank of deputy chief of
15Operations prior to his retirement on November 1, 2022; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Mark Einwich remained an active member of the
17Burlington Community Fire Protection District since starting
18there in 1992, rising to the rank of deputy chief; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Mark Einwich's commitment to public service was
20extensive, and he previously served on the Pingree Grove and
21Countryside Fire Protection District from 1986 to 1993 and

1additionally as a telecommunicator for the Kane County
2Sheriff's Office from 1988 to 1993; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Mark Einwich announced basketball and football
4games at Burlington Central High School for over 30 years,
5becoming known the "Voice of the Rockets"; through his booming
6voice and kind demeanor, he touched the lives of generations
7of students and spectators of Burlington Central High School
8Athletics; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Mark Einwich was inducted into the Burlington
10Central High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2011; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Mark Einwich is survived by his wife, Angie; his
12parents; his children, Carolyn (Jeff Barnes) Thompson, Liz
13(Jordan) Stallman, Madison (Tim Laird) Einwich, Rhett Einwich,
14Caden Einwich, and Wyatt Einwich; his grandchildren, Tahlia,
15Charlotte, Kayce, Elena, and Riley; and several aunts,
16cousins, and friends; therefore, be it
 
17    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
18HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
19we mourn the passing of Mark R. Einwich and extend our sincere
20condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
21him; and be it further

3deepest sympathy.
